Draft National Vapor Mitigation Standard Released for Public Comment

Dr. Chris Bonniwell, Wilcox Regional Technical Director, has spent the last year collaborating on a national work group charged with developing a standard for the mitigation of radon and hazardous chemical vapors in soil gas beneath residential structures. The work group was established by the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST) and developed the standard under the guidelines of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The work group included contributors from federal and state regulatory agencies, mitigation specialists, and environmental professionals. A draft version of the Soil Gas Mitigation Standards for Existing Homes was released today for public comment, and can be downloaded by clicking the following link:
