We all find ourselves in extraordinary circumstances and express our sympathies to those around the world coping with the severest consequences of COVID-19.
Our first priority is the safety and well-being of our people, clients, contractors, and their families. Nothing is more important to us, today and always. With that said, Wilcox remains open for business and will continue to operate with the appropriate precautions.
Our people are doing what we can to achieve social distancing while continuing to provide the services our clients rely on. We currently have travel restrictions in place and are practicing social distancing in all aspects of our work. This means many of our employees are working remotely. In some instances, Wilcox teams are performing work at project sites that cannot be performed remotely while practicing enhanced safety measures. All of our employees have the authority to stop work and have been reminded of its importance.
Our decisions in these unprecedented times is not only out of an abundance of caution but is mindful of guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization in addition to local health agency and community mitigation plans. We will continue to monitor these directives and adjust our work processes accordingly.
Finally, we recognize and praise the doctors, nurses, first responders, and many ordinary people who are helping our neighbors and communities in distress. We admire their bravery, applaud their sacrifices, and are inspired by their example.
